Access

Onomichi is the typical starting point. From Hiroshima, take the Sanyo Shinkansen to Mihara and transfer to a local line, or use local/express trains to Onomichi Station. Imabari is connected to Matsuyama and Okayama by rail.

From Hiroshima

  • Shinkansen to Mihara (about 30–40 min), JR to Onomichi (20–30 min).
  • Direct highway buses also available in season.

Airport Connections

  • Hiroshima Airport → bus to Shiraichi → JR to Onomichi.
